What is Voice of McDonald’s®?

It’s a worldwide contest to discover, recognize and reward the most talented singers among the more than 1.6 million employees working in McDonald’s restaurants.

What are the prizes?

Global Semi-Finalists (chosen from every McDonald’s Area of the World) will each win a trip (with a guest) to the McDonald’s 2012 Worldwide Convention in Orlando, Florida, USA to compete for the Grand Prize: US$25,000. Second Prize winner will receive US $17,500. Third Prize winner will receive US $12,500. Fourth Prize winner will receive US $7,500. Other finalists will each win US$3,000. All finalists will also win US$500 for their restaurant, and a US$1,000 contribution in their name to their local Ronald McDonald House Charities® (or another children’s charity).

Who is eligible to enter?

The contest is only open to employees of McDonald’s restaurants. To be eligible, entrants must be continuously employed in a McDonald’s restaurant from prior to the date of entry submission through May 1, 2012 (for complete details on eligibility, see the Official Rules).

How do you enter?

If your country is holding its own Voice of McDonald’s Contest, you must enter through that contest. If your country is not holding a contest, you must enter through your McDonald’s Area of the World (AOW). See the contest website for more information.

How will entries be judged?

On the basis of singing ability, creativity, and stage presence. See the Official Rules for more information.

I’m an hourly-based restaurant employee. Am I eligible to enter?

Yes – eligibility is open to those employed in McDonald’s restaurants. See the Official Rules for complete details of eligibility.

When will I know if I am a winner in my country?

You will be contacted via the information provided when you entered the contest. If your country hosts a live contest, winners will be selected by a panel of judges during the event.
